About Me

Welcome! :) My name is Allison Ramirez, and I am an enthusiastic Catholic author and teacher. I am passionate about sharing the Christian faith through the written word and helping other writers do the same! As a little girl, my pastimes involved sitting over scribbled pages of written adventures about my friends, family, or stuffed animals. Besides writing and storytelling, I have a love for animals and thought that I would one day become a Veterinarian. However, growing in my Catholic faith in middle and high school, I eventually decided to pursue academics in English with the hopes of working in Catholic publishing.

I hold my B.A. in English (emphasis Creative Writing) from Seattle Pacific University (2019).  I am currently pursuing my M.A. in Theology (emphasis Church History) from Holy Apostles (2024). 

​

Fresh out of college, I spent a year-and-a-half working for the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle in the Benefits department. I currently serve as the Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation at St. Barbara Church, and as an 8th grade English teacher at Kolbe Academy, a classical Catholic education schooling program for homeschool families. 

 

I am the author of two books: devotional-journal Breathe Deeply: The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary as Invitations to Peace (2021) and dystopian fiction novel, The Divided Kingdom (2023). My other writings have appeared in Our Sunday Visitor (OSV), Ascension Press Blog, Radiant: Catholic Woman's magazine, Spoken Women, and Busted Halo.

 

I am a Washington State native and reside in a cute townhouse with my husband, Nathan, and our six pets: Pug pup (Leo), Holland Lop Rabbit (Blue), Guinea Pig (Arthur), Hamster (Carrot), and two Gerbils (Cosmos & Damien).
